From the moment I knew of their conception, I have prayed for my children. Intense prayers. Specific prayers.

Over the years I have prayed for their salvation, teachers, friends, the future spouse; for God’s guidance and Lordship in their lives; for protection and provision; discernment and wisdom. Healing.

Yet as they became adults, prayers evolved into simpler prayers. “Mercy.” “Help.” “Please.”

And now? The simplest most profound prayer of all. “Thy will be done.”
